Beat Jeaggi - 165T

The 70 locomotives of the 165T class were built by General Electric in 1949-1950 for the Argentinian Railways. Originally designed to run in 35 pairs they were later split in 70 single units due to shortages in motive power. They were remotorized more than once giving them an extreme long service life.

This model is a CCR (Argentine) product which was detailed and painted by Beat Jaeggi in Switzerland. The chassis was scratchbuilt using a Hollywood Foundry (Australia) mechanism and MR Custom (Brazil) sideframes for the trucks. The freight cars are scratchbuilt. Beat Jaeggi also built the scenery.
